ONLINE: Invisible Toybox: The Energy of Kink

There are several ways to approach what we call "power" or "energy" in kink. Some of us are drawn to words like Magic, chi, ki, woo, vibes, and similar terms to describe the quality called “energy.” Whether or not we love those terms, we are often playing with qualities that feel somewhat beyond our day-to-day experience as we enter into a state of flow.

In this class, we will learn techniques for sensing and manipulating power and energy, whatever we choose to call it. We will briefly discuss the ethics of energy play, and explore ways to incorporate energy into BDSM, for connection, play, and intimacy.

We will learn to:

• Get present with our partners
• Align with our partners on shared goals
• Incorporate all our physical senses with intention
• Sense energy
• Practice good energetic hygiene and boundaries
• Align our senses and energy to reinforce power dynamics & sensory play
• Learn to incorporate different types of energy to reinforce specific moods

PRESENTER:

HG Wyndell is an activist, educator, and Spiritworker who is driven to facilitate accessible ritual spaces for folks seeking access to more deeply nourishing relationships with themselves and others. They are committed to living life through a lens of wonder, and in our experience, they don’t mess around when it comes to embracing the complex beingness of whoever is blessed to be in their presence and consideration. They weave their lived experiences with intentional relationship, genuine gender expression, ceremony, creative arts, chronic illness, and embracing pleasure seamlessly with a whole lot of love and a good bit of magic into the rich curriculum they offer.
