ONLINE: WTF is Relationship Anarchy?

Relationship Anarchy has gained in public awareness in recent years - but not without the generation of myths and misunderstandings about this philosophy of engaging in relationships.

Join Laura Boyle for a 90-minute workshop wherein she will:

• Bust some of those myths
• Define and give the history of relationship anarchy, including contextualizing it with political anarchist movements
• Briefly look at the RA Manifesto
• Discuss the practicalities of relating from the basis of this philosophical framework, using her own experiences as well as those of others who have given permission to share their stories during this workshop. (what does it really mean to individually build your relationships from an RA lens? Do we get a smorgasbord worksheet out every time we make a new acquaintance? What about when we want commitments and stability with partners? Hasn't Laura been with one of her partners for nearly a decade?)
• Consider whether Relationship Anarchy is a kind of polyamory, or even rightly a kind of non-monogamy, and how we contextualize that question
• Look at the positives to an RA approach to relating
• and answer audience questions.

PRESENTER:

Laura Boyle is a relationship coach, educator, and author of Monogamy? In this Economy? Finances, Childrearing, and Other Practical Concerns of Polyamory. She's the voice behind the Ready for Polyamory blog and podcast, and has been an expert voice on polyamory in such publications as The Boston Globe and Cosmopolitan. She's been polyamorous for nearly 20 years and has been teaching since 2018.
