Description

What is the relationship escalator? In short, it is the default set of societal expectations (a sequence of progressive steps) for intimate relationships... aka the pressure that makes us worry why we're not married and/or don't have kids "yet." But what we really want to know is: What if we don't want kids and/or a marriage? Do we have to do all this in a certain order? Why is there so much pressure and a deadline?

In this workshop, you can expect an open discussion around heteronormativity, mononormativity, and how we can expand our definitions and curate more fulfilling experiences for ourselves with regard to sexual orientation and relationships. What does it mean to be queer? How do I see and define my relationships? How can expanding the way I relate be beneficial for my well-being? We will begin with an (optional) meditation before moving into a discussion, during which participants are encouraged to ask questions.

We welcome your full self and encourage you to participate as much or as little as you're comfortable with.
