Dr. Zo Marcos is thrilled to invite you to Acu & Chill, a monthly community ear acupuncture clinic and movie event, presented by Needle Play Acupuncture. Come by for an auricular treatment (tiny needles activating healing points on the ears) while kicking back to relax and enjoy some Netflix with friends.
Auricular acupuncture can be used to help anything and everything including aches and pains, illness and injuries, all of the difficult feels (anxiety, depression, fatigue), and 2021's gift that keeps on giving... STRESS! Whether this is your first experience with acupuncture or a chance for a quick "tune-up" between private clinic visits, your body will thank you for the fantastic self-care!
Acu & Chill is a drop-in clinic (no appointment needed) with treatments typically lasting anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour after intake is completed, but you are welcome to stay for the entire film! The sign-up list will open at 7pm and close at 8:30pm and the clinic will finish final treatments at 9:00pm.
Since there may be immune-compromised folx at this event, masks are highly preferred. Let’s take care of each other.
Blankies and snacks are welcome.
Dr. Zo Marcos has been practicing the healing arts for nearly a decade, standing on the shoulders of the lineages of healers that preceded him. He honors these ancestors, elders and mentors by carrying forward their traditions of therapeutic medicine, bodywork and internal arts, and offers these practices to the transformation of individuals, communities, and the world. He channels the spirit of the Indigenous Medicine Man, the Warrior, and the Jedi.
Please note that the Wicked Grounds Annex space at 293 8th St is ADA friendly once upstairs, but stairs are the only means of ingress and egress to the Wicked Grounds Annex space. If you have any questions, please message the event organizers and we will do our best to answer them!
Tickets: $15 - $35 in advance, or $20 - $40 at the door. Please pay at the level you can comfortably afford.
We offer a sliding scale, so that cost is not a barrier to attendance.
The regular ticket is $25. This is what most people should pay.
The $15 ticket is offered for those for whom the $25 ticket would be a barrier to participation. If $25 is too much, we take your word for it! Just pay $15.
Have a great salary? Feeling generous? Paying at the $35 level allows us to make the discounted ticketing available to others who need it.
So - that's it! Choose the level you can comfortably afford.
No one turned away for lack of funds.
If cost is a barrier at any point on the sliding scale, please use the Volunteer List at the bottom of the listing to request a scholarship seat.
This event will be at the Wicked Grounds Annex. Stairs at the front door are the only means of ingress and egress to the space.
Proof of vaccination is required for entry to this event. Physical vaccination card (or a picture of the card) and a photo ID must be presented at the door. Masks must be worn at all times by attendees.
