ONLINE: Introducing Partners to Kink/BDSM

This will be a live, online class offered through Zoom. No on-site tickets will be available.

Looking to introduce your partner(s) to kink, BDSM, or even just a specific fetish? This class is for you!

Introducing vanilla partners to kink can be intimidating, challenging, and confusing. Whether your partner is brand new to kink, has had prior experiences but didn't like it, or even fears kink/BDSM, this class will cover strategies for talking to them.

This class offers discussions about:

• Talking to partners who have experienced sexual trauma or abuse in prior relationships
• Talking to partners who have had prior bad experiences with BDSM
• Dispelling misconceptions about abuse, pain, and harm associated with kink
• Interracial couples and talking kink
• Polyamory where only some people engage in kink and power exchange and others are clear they don't want to engage in BDSM
• Strategies to ease partners into the kinks you are most interested in while allowing room for them to find their own identity in kink

Participants will leave with multiple strategies for introducing partners to kink/BDSM and power exchange dynamics.

PRESENTER:

Auntie Vice/Rebecca Blanton is a freelance writer and podcaster. She has been part of the kink community for more than three decades. An agender, queer, submissive, her work focuses on kink from the right of the slash. She runs the popular blog "Love Letters to a Unicorn" and the podcast "Fat Chicks on Top." She has a BA in psychology and a Ph.D. (abd) in Political Psychology. She brings her background as an academic researcher and understanding of systematic, institutional and personal power to her work about kink.

We offer a sliding scale, so that cost is not a barrier to attendance.

The regular ticket is $25. This is what most people should pay.

The $15 ticket is offered for those for whom the $25 ticket would be a barrier to participation. If $25 is too much, we take your word for it! Just pay $15.
