Instruction from a master Kinbakushi & performance flyer specializing in fast, dynamic, exciting, and precise suspension bondage.
Kinbaku, which means tight binding in Japanese, has a long history that traces back to the feudal era of Japan. Rope, which had long been used in ceremonial and spiritual contexts, was used to detain and punish criminals of the Edo period.
Inspired by the violent and intricate history that led to the creation of the sensual and beautiful modern art of Kinbaku, Saki began to pursue its study some 28 years ago. Since then, she’s become widely known as one of the fastest riggers in the world, creating performances that have been likened to a priestess performing a ritual honoring the craft. Haruna Kyo brings a background in strip dance and magnetic presence to her rope scenes and performances.
This rare opportunity to take a class from Saki and Haruna Kyo offers tying pairs hands-on instruction from a master Kinbakushi and performance flyer specializing in fast, dynamic, exciting, and precise suspension bondage.
Note that there are two ticket types. Tying pair tickets include a dedicated suspension point and are for attendees who have the necessary experience to tie along during class. We will also have observer-only tickets—these do not include a suspension point, are not tie-along tickets, and are open to anyone.
Prerequisites for tying pair tickets: This is an advanced-level suspension class. Attendees should be confident in their experience in suspension bondage. Required ties include a suspendable upper body harness (instructors will be using a TK, but attendees may choose to use arms front or arms out chest harnesses), hip harness, and futomomo.
Class will be from 7:30pm - 10pm, with doors opening at 7:15pm. Please plan to arrive by the start of class at 7:30pm.
