Description

Designed for folks who are working on transition sequences, this class will discuss building a suspension scene and lead participants through a transition sequence. Topics include thought processes, trouble shooting, transitions, and communication between top and bottom.

About the presenters:

Ms. Reemah (she/her), Domme, Rigger, Sadist
Ms. Reemah is a queer woman of color from Atlanta. She has been a part of the kink community since 2017. Ms. Reemah is of the sisterhood Black FemDom (BFD)-Atlanta, one of the organizers for Rope Bite Atlanta, the rope track coordinator for the Southeast Leather Fest, and an international educator/presenter. Ms. Reemah derives immense joy and connectedness through rope play. There is an intimate connection between a rigger and rope bottom that is profound and unlike no other. While, also providing an outlet for creativity by manifesting the beauty and strength of the bottom in rope. As a queer, black, Femme Domme, Ms. Reemah has taken strides to increase the visibility, education, participation, and awareness of POCs in the kink community. Her passions are teaching, mentoring, advocating for the LGBTQ+ community and POCs, D/S dynamics, addressing mental health and the intersectionalities with kink, and developing/maintaining healthy monogamous and poly relationships.

Axel (she/her) masochist, rope bottom, submissive
Axel is a queer indigenous women of color from Boston, MA. Axel has been a part of the kink community since 2019 whilst living in Atlanta. Axel joined the kink community when they began exploring different methods of energy release. Through Axel’s journey they have gained a thriving passion for teaching others about their identity through kink, self love and expression, as well as creating safe spaces that allow knowledge of kink to flow thoroughly. Axel’s most important kink activity is rope play. Through rope play Axel has learned how to build deeper trust, exude energy, experience true releases being tied in a multitude of Shibari styles. Axel is a bottom that enjoys bondage and impact play, power exchange, breathe play, and service to name a few. Axel also volunteers for Blood,Sweats & Queers that is a queer kink community based in Atlanta. Axel’s goal is to help give awareness of the queer kink community, that will help people feel comforted and safe in the journey of self exploration.

Details:

  • Class from 7:30 - 10pm, doors open at 7pm
  • Class size is limited to ensure everyone has space, "air time," and personalized instruction. Each ticket is per tying pair, and includes a dedicated hardpoint. Note that Little Boxes is large and airy, with 2 story ceilings and square footage capacity far exceeding our attendance cap.
  • Attendees will need knowledge of and experience with suspendible harnesses and attachment lines.
  • For supplies, please bring your basic suspension kit, including 6-8 hanks of rope. Note that the venue provides some mats, but supply is limited – if you would like a mat, we appreciate you bringing one! Temperature in the space can vary; we recommend bringing layers.
  • Ticket proceeds go entirely towards paying rent for the space and compensating the presenters, including helping cover travel. Tickets fully refundable up to 5 days prior to the event, using the link at the bottom of the order email. Within 5 days of the event, tickets are transferable but not refundable.
