Are you brand new to lube and confused by so many different options? Do you already have a handle on lube basics and ready to learn more about choices for users with sensitivities or people trying to conceive? Are you a total lube geek who wants to dive deeper into ingredient lists and lube science? Then put this class on your calendar, because we'll be gliding over all kinds of lubricant knowledge!
This course is structured with the most basic information right up front, so folks who are new to the topic can attend the first part of the class to get guidance about lubes to fit their needs.
For those who wish to stick around for more, the second part of this class will get nerdier! We'll go over some common lubricant ingredients and touch on the regulation and labeling of these products. We'll talk about how different lubes may interact with the vaginal environment and microbiome. Finally, we will discuss the concept of osmolality and its relevance to lubricant formulation. In other words... we're gonna geek out about lube, and you're invited to join us!"
Hudson Nummerdor (he/him) is an AASECT Certified Sexuality Educator who began doing grassroots organizing and community-based peer education about sexuality, gender, and HIV in the early 1990s. He is the general manager of The Tool Shed, a mission-driven, education-focused sexuality boutique located in Milwaukee, WI and an all-levels trainer for the Our Whole Lives lifespan sexuality education curricula. Hudson has completed the University of Michigan Sexual Health Certificate Program in Sexuality Education.
