How To Kinkster 101 - Consent, Boundaries, and Communication

Welcome to the "How To Kinkster" series. Through both classes and discussion groups, we will focus on an aspect of the kink/BDSM world and how to navigate it in baby steps for the newer kinkster. Every other Tuesday evening via zoom we will delve into certain topics a bit more deeply than can be done in a single class on the entirety of how this crazy and amazing world works.

While the series is designed for one topic to lead to another, it's not necessary to have started from the beginning to join in. Starting at all and educating yourself is a HUGE step to being a better, safer, and happier community member!

Consent, Boundaries, and Communication

In this, the second class in the series, we will discuss how VITAL these three things are in order to navigate the kink and BDSM lifestyle, even if only casually. Not only will you learn how to recognize how these things fit into our community, but also how they fit into everyday life. During discussion we will work out how to manage difficult situations, how to identify and enforce our own boundaries, how to respect the boundaries of others, as well as alternatives to communicate when words are hard.
