The monthly Virtual Consent Is Sexy with Stella VonDomme for December is Sunday the 10th at 1-3 pm PST via Zoom.
This is an ongoing, buildable course that reviews the basics each class, but adds a new focus topic monthly. We focus on not only the ground level kink/BDSM information, but also discuss communication techniques and the basic definition and imperative nature of consent in our community. Those who complete a Consent Is Sexy class have the opportunity to join our private FetLife group to continue our journey in a safe and supportive space.
December Focus Topic: From Top to bottom - Expectations Of Roles In Kink and BDSM
Humans are complex creatures. Some seem to be born to lead, others are content and voracious followers and supporters. Behind closed doors, however, those roles don’t always hold true. In most kinks and in BDSM, the dichotomy of Top/bottom, Dom(me)/submissive, Master/slave etc. are important and have structural significance. But what does it really mean in the end? What is the definition of a “Real Dom”? What do you have to do to be a “good submissive”?
In this installment of Consent Is Sexy, we are going to go over these roles, the questions surrounding what makes a REAL anything, and why there are so many conflicting ideas when it comes to these titles. By the end of class, you will have these questions answered as well as tools to construct your own dynamic or persona in the community
This class is great for newcomers to the community as well as those who have maybe been around for a while and need a refresher, someone who has had a steady partner for years and needs help navigating the outside community again, and even (especially) those who may have had run ins in the past and want to learn how to kink safely.
