Forward Bending & Splits w/ @Insign1A — Anatomy for Rope Bondage

Folding our body in safe and challengeing ways

An anatomy and body-focus class for both Riggers & rope bottoms.

Description

This is a class for both Riggers & rope bottoms

Forward bending in rope bondage often creates a feeling of safety and self-embrace. Meanwhile, it could creates challenges from compression, and possibly pain from sketching our hamstrings, lower back, hips and/or glutes.

What exercises or warm-ups could help us in better sustaining these positions in rope? How can a Rigger contribute to helping the bottom surrender into these poses?

As for those naturally gifted or trained in flexibility, we will explore safe and sustainable methods to enhance your forward bending skills and progressing into forward splits.

This class is designed for both Riggers & rope bottoms. We are excited to share the intricacies of forward bending, focusing on safety, body awareness, and training methods to safely deepen our rope practices.

🔍 We'll cover...

  • Anatomy of the lower back, hips and hamstrings
  • Body exercises, warm-ups, and post-forward bending stretches
  • Demo: Forward bending in rope (paired up groundwork)
  • Practice and Social Hour

What do you need to bring?

  • Your body!
  • A pen & your notebook
  • Water bottle and towel.
  • Ropes (if you want to participate in the rope exercise)

We have loaner ropes if you don't have your own ropes yet. We will also provide yoga mats to tie on, snacks, and water.

FAQ

  1. Can I come solo as a Rigger/rope bottom?
Yes! Solo attendees are warmly welcomed. The class focus on body mechanics and anatomy, with body exercise that everyone can participate in. Understanding how our body work (differently) can help build body awareness and help us to tie or be tied in a safer manner.

  2. I am a total beginner, can I come?
Yes! No prior skills or knowledge are necessary for this class. Whether you're a curious rope Top/bottom, or simply looking to connect with the community, this class is open to you!

  3. Can I come if I am not into rope?
While the principles of anatomy and body mechanics are universally applicable, this class is specifically designed with a focus on rope bodies. You'll undoubtedly learn new and valuable knowledge, but it's worth noting that the demo may be less engaging for those not interested in rope.
