Sit Happens — Suspension Sequence

Diving into your Shibari journey.

Flipping around in the air, again.

Description

This class is designed for those who are looking to explore new suspension sequences.

Suspension sequences are fun! In this class, we will be sharing a dynamic suspension flow that goes from verticle <-> face down -> ... creative fun poses. This sequence includes elements such as back bends and inversion.

While we'll share our version of the Futomomo (tying in air), the primary focus is on mastering the suspension sequence, not learning a new pattern.

To get the most out of this class...

  • Both Rigger & bottom must be familiar with the safety and risk of rope suspension
  • Both Rigger & bottom should have prior suspension experience.
  • The Rigger must know a back-loading body harness that works for your bottom
  • The Rigger must know how to lock off a safe and secure upline
  • Comfortable with your rope handling skills and able to manage various tension

Keep in mind that suspension sequences pose increased risks and challenges for both Riggers and bottoms compared to straightforward up-and-down suspensions. Prior to signing up, assess your risk profiles. Don't hesitate to reach out with any questions at hello@madebymooooo.com.

Common Q&A

  1. Do I need to bring my own rope?

Yes. If you don't have your own set of ropes yet, this class is probably not for you.

  1. Do I need a rope bottom?

Yes. You will need a rope bottom to practice with. If you are a switch, pair up with your switch-y friends!

  1. What should I wear?

For Riggers: Anything you feel the most comfortable in. You will feel
warmer than your bottom, so don't put too many layers on!

For bottoms: Tighter clothes are the best. For example: tank tops and yoga pants. If you wear bras, please remember to take them off or wear wireless bras for upper body ties.

  1. Will I be able to learn to suspend someone?

Yes. This is a class for suspension sequence.
