Twisted Monks — Suspension Sequence

Diving into your Shibari journey.

Vertical to Torsion suspension sequence.

Description

This class is designed for those who are looking to explore new suspension sequences.

Suspension sequences are fun! In this class, we will explore Agura and how to use it in a vertical ➡️ torsion suspension sequence.

We will share a version of the Agura (crossed-leg tie) we use. However, the focus of this class is the suspension sequence, instead of learning a new pattern.

To get the most out of this class...

  • Both Top & bottom must be familiar with the safety and risk of rope suspension
  • Able to tie a back-loading upper body suspension harness that works for you & your bottom.
  • Able to lock off a safe and secure upline
  • Comfortable with your rope handling skills and able to manage various tension

Common Q&A

  1. Do I need to bring my own rope?

Yes. If you don't have your own set of ropes yet, this class is probably not for you.

  1. Do I need a rope bottom?

Yes. You will need a rope bottom to practice with. If you are a switch, pair up with your switch-y friends! You learn the most if you could experience both sides!

  1. What should I wear?

For Riggers: Anything you feel the most comfortable in. You will feel
warmer than your bottom, so don't put too many layers on!

For bottoms: Tighter clothes are the best. For example: tank tops and yoga pants. If you wear bras, please remember to take them off or wear wireless bras for upper body ties.

  1. Will I be able to learn to suspend someone?

Yes. This is a class for suspension sequence.

Suspension Sequence is an extension of Shibari Essentials

Shibari Essentials is a series of in-person classes. We will be focusing on different Shibari patterns as well as applicable techniques for you to create amazing experiences with your partners.

For each class, we will be focusing on a tie and the variations. You may pick and mix your classes and only attend to those you are interested in.
