Dark human pet play mixes typical pet play with edge play and/or, in some peoples' view, sexual play. It can be about incorporating more intense kink activities with pet play that take it away from "realism," such as bondage, knives, needles, CNC, etc.

What dark human pet play is NOT: Beastiality, actual non-consent, or a precursor to abusing animals in real life. We condone NONE of these things. Biological animals are NEVER to be engaged in BDSM play.

This is a safe space for human creatures and Handlers of all shapes and sizes, run by a diverse team of women and gender expansive folks. No matter your gender, sexuality, ethnicity, "species," experience level, or play style, you are welcomed here.

That said, we will not tolerate predatory, pushy, or bigoted behavior. If we feel that you are not making this a safe space for queer and gender expansive individuals, you will be asked to leave. This is a zero tolerance policy.

SPECIAL EVENT RULES

• Open play is allowed in the forest and mosh space outside of scheduled activities.
• Sexual and kink play is allowed in all areas except the quiet room or during demos/activities. Please use provided protective barriers and puppy pads.
• Use of the Breeding Nook sex machines must occur with volunteer observation or approval. Use protective barriers and clean between uses!
• No mouth to genital/anal due to the requirement of masks.
• Edge play scenes must have DM "Critter Guard" approval. You must bring all safety equipment, drop cloths, etc.
• NO: Breath play, fire play, gun play, race play, military play, wax play, watersports
• FIGHTING RING/DOG CATCHER GAME: No biting (sorry - due to masks), choking, blood, running takedowns, or impact above the shoulders

COVID-19 POLICIES

2024 November or newer Covid vaccine OR a negative covid test (home test is fine) is required. We do NOT have tests on site anymore due to lack of supply.

Surgical, KN95, or N95 Masks must be worn while indoors, even under pet hoods.

Please stay home if you’re feeling unwell! If you arrive sick, you will be asked to leave.

THE FIGHTING RING

Think of it as high-energy wrestling meets capture the flag. Opponents will wear 3 flags around their waists; the fight ends when either one opponent loses all 3 flags, or taps out/says a safe word.

You will need to sign up, either before or at the event, in order to take part in the Fighting Ring. Anyone (animal or hooman) can fight.

You can sign up as a duo, or solo and be paired with someone. If you go solo, you will only be able to fight if we find you a counterpart.

There will be colored vet wrap and washable marker to indicate areas on your body that you’d like avoided, such as a bad knee.

NO: Biting, choking, blood, or impact above the shoulders

THE DOG CATCHER GAME

Live out your pet-napping dreams! Are you a stray being caught by Animal Control, or hopeless prey hunted by a predator? You decide!

This game is based on Red Light / Green Light - whenever Shayn calls GREEN LIGHT, the chase is on! Reach the finish line to escape!

Those wishing to be chased can consent to different levels of capture: a full take down (marked with green), grabbed (marked with yellow), or lightly touched (marked with red).

NOTE: If you only want to engage with a certain pre-negotiated person, we can accommodate this. If you wish to make this the start of a full scene with that person, you'll need to plan to move to a different play area after the capture.

There are several parking options near our venue:

2. Street Parking: Available on residential side streets. If you choose this option, please READ ALL SIGNAGE carefully to avoid any penalties.

If you need a pick up/drop off for accessibility reasons, contact us at socalcreatures@gmail.com with 72 hours minimum notice and we will do our best to assist you.

ACCESSIBILITY

• The venue has two floors separated by stairs. The upstairs features nothing substantially different from the downstairs offerings (more plain play spaces, a sex-positive room, a bathroom), and is open for the sake of keeping the downstairs spaces more open to folks with mobility limitations.
• The event's special offerings (try-it booths, breeding nook, fighting ring, etc.) are all downstairs.
• Music is played at a low to moderate volume throughout the space. There is no music on the back patio.
• We have disposable ear plugs available for those with auditory sensitivities.
• Please contact us directly if you need an ASL interpreter. We will do our best to provide one.
• Our Consent Wristbands are both colored and marked with symbols for our colorblind community members.
• Our Volunteer Pickup Service is our attempt to make parking more accessible. We can also provide one (1) disability parking spot upon request, first come first serve.

Tickets are refundable via your ticket confirmation email up to 1 hour before the event start. After this point, they are not refundable.
