The box tie, also known as the takate kote, TK, or gote, is a versatile and aesthetically pleasing tool to add to your belt.
This intermediate tie has the model with their arms behind their back and overlapping in a box shape, with their elbows close to the body. This can evoke a particular headspace or feelings of submission, vulnerability, and strength. The EuphoRion by Natalie Rose is a box tie that skips the bottom arm bands altogether for those who have nervy lower arms or like a chest heavy harness.
Join us as we explore a tie heavily inspired by the EuphoRion by Natalie Rose, including important anatomy, third rope options, and how to load it in suspension. Due to the nature of this tie, the latter half of the class will be focused on third rope options to keep the top band in place. Please know this class will stay on the ground and we will be on a shoe free floor. Gym mats will be provided.
This class is for tying couples and individual auditors, each ticket is for TWO people!
In order to prepare for this class, tops please be comfortable tying a non collapsing single column tie and handling your rope. Bottoms, please be able to place your hands behind your back in approximately a 90 degree angle (a little less than a "box shape" is fine). If this is not something your body wants to do please be on the lookout for Box Talks: Low Hands on September 10th.
Masks are recommended, vaccine card required.
