Electro play has become an increasingly popular — yet often misunderstood — form of sensation play. Whether you're curious about violet wands, TENS units, or other electro toys - this class is designed to help you build a strong foundation in both safety and play.
In this beginner-friendly workshop, we’ll explore the different tools commonly used in electro play scenes, how they function, core safety considerations, and — most importantly — how to use them in fun, connected, and consensual ways with a partner.
This class is designed for anyone who is curious about electro play and who want an approachable, hands-on introduction to electro play without getting overwhelmed by technical jargon or complicated electrical theory. Rather than getting lost in the science of how electricity works, this class focuses on practical, real-world skills: how to negotiate scenes, create enjoyable sensations, communicate effectively, and explore this style of play with confidence.
The workshop also includes facilitated hands-on practice time, allowing participants to safely sample and experience a variety of sensations under instructor guidance.
This class is intentionally beginner-friendly and designed to create a welcoming, low-pressure learning environment. No prior experience is necessary, and there are no stupid questions — curiosity is encouraged, and there will be ample time for discussion, demonstrations, and Q&A throughout the class.
Jonathan (T_Titillatus) has been a member of the Boston BDSM scene since 2005. He began playing with electricity around 2007, starting with the violet wand before expanding into e-stim and other forms of electrical play. He has demonstrated electrical play and helped others learn at community "tastings," and events around the Boston area. Part of what he loves about teaching electro is that it fosters skilled, informed play that makes our spaces safer, while also opening a window into an area of play that can feel intimidating to many people at first.
Darah (putitar217) has been active in the BDSM community since 2014 and has taught several impact play classes throughout New England. A former ER nurse and current robotics engineer with a degree in biomedical engineering, she brings both technical knowledge and a strong foundation in safety to her educational offerings.
Darah has been exploring electro play for several years, primarily from the bottom’s perspective, giving her unique insight into both the physical and psychological aspects of electrical sensation play. She is passionate about helping others explore electro play safely, confidently, and with a solid understanding of the underlying principles.
