(Intro) Rope Bondage: Bent Arm and Leg Ties

This is an intro level class, meaning anyone can buy a ticket (you do not have to be a vetted member of Black Bird Atelier).

Class Description:

Tying the legs and arms in bent positions can be a great way to immobilize someone. In this class, we use single and double column ties to find various ways to bend limbs. We will cover different styles, basic safety about tying arms and legs, and fun things to do with these ties in a scene!

This class features 2 hrs of instruction and 1 hr of guided practice time where the instructor and teacher's assistant will come around and work individually with each couple.

Cost: $150 per couple (you don't have to be a romantic couple! Many people take rope classes with friends)

Prerequisites:

Single column tie and double column tie (any style is acceptable, whichever you are comfortable with. Somerville Bowline is popular). We will NOT be teaching a single column in this class; you must already know it. There are many videos on YouTube, etc. that can teach you this knot. If there's enough interest, we can run an in-person class on this - please let Raven know!

What to Bring:

Rope: 1 x 30 ft length of rope and 1 x 15 ft length of rope. Nylon or jute rope is acceptable. If you do not have rope, let us know! We do have some studio rope that is available to borrow for the class.

Attire: Yoga clothing is recommended. Tight fitted, cotton leggings and a T shirt or tank top. Shorts are also acceptable.

Water Bottle: We have cups and filtered water at the studio, but encourage you to bring your own water bottle. Please make sure it has a secure lid and will not spill if knocked over.

Notebook: Please bring a notebook and pen for notes.

Teacher Bio:

Lazarus is a queer, Boston-based foot fetishist, femdom, and rope top with 13 years of teaching experience. She especially likes high-femme hijinks and dynamic suspensions. As an engineer, she comes to rope work and suspension from a technical point of view. When she isn’t torturing her partners, she’s usually making colorful costumes, art, and things for space.

Venue:

Black Bird Atelier is a new studio in Burlington, MA. We are located in a small office building with ample free parking. Exact address is sent out to ticket holders 2 days before the class. Burlington’s newest space dedicated to education, empowerment, and authentic connection.
