Meeting the right play partners can feel overwhelming, especially when no one ever taught you how kink social dynamics actually work. This class breaks down the unspoken rules, common pitfalls, and proven strategies for connecting with others safely and authentically. You’ll learn how to present yourself well, spot red and green flags, and navigate the community with confidence. No cruising, no pressure—just real skills that make your kink journey smoother and more fulfilling.

Who this class is for:

• This class is for all levels of experience
• You can attend solo or with a partner
• Anyone can attend - Feather & Flame (previously Black Bird) membership is NOT required to attend this class. We recommend taking this class or Intro to D/s before applying for membership.
• This class is NOT a hookup/ cruising event

What to bring:

• A notebook and something to write with
• Optional: A water bottle with a spill-proof lid

Water/snacks:

• We will have an assortment of snacks available (fruit or veggies, baked goods, etc)
• We also provide hot tea and filtered water

About the instructor:

Princess_Raven is the owner of Feather & Flame (previously Black Bird Atelier), and has over a decade of experience as a Professional Dominant, and 5 years experience as a dating and relationship coach specializing in alternative relationship dynamics.
She enjoys making the fulfillment of kink more accessible through education and events. She enjoys helping people get connected and giving them the tools and confidence to take the next step in their kink journey.

Cancellation policy:

• 48 hrs - use Forbidden Tickets to get your refund (the ticketing platform that you purchased your ticket through)
• Please do not come if you are sick. Even if it’s “not Covid, just a small cold.” We are happy to roll your ticket over to a different class if you are sick

We are a new studio located in Burlington, MA. We are committed to education, empowerment, and authentic connection.

Our exact address is sent out to ticket holders about 2 days before your class; this is for safety and discretion reasons.

Parking: We have plenty of free parking in our lot!

Accessibility: There is a flight of stairs to our unit, and our bathrooms are not large enough to accommodate a wheelchair, unfortunately. Service dogs are of course welcome, but we do request a heads-up please. If there are any other reasonable accommodations that we can make for you, please reach out!
