Grip the moment at Friction, a pop-up style event focused on bondage, kink, connection, sensuality, and joy. Hosts @MxBliss (of Jiffy Kink and Studio Bound) & @ShayBlondie (of BENT and Twisted Windows) invite you to tie under the stars using our outdoor suspension rigs, roll around in the floorplay area, and explore the intimate corners of our fabulous East Bay venue with a fully equipped dungeon.

At the Friction play party, you can expect icebreakers, performances, and plenty of nooks to play, socialize, or get it on.

The venue is in Oakland and we will send the address to ticket holders the day before the event.

Friction Party Schedule:

• 7:00pm: doors open
• 7:30 - 8:30pm: Class/workshop Necktie Bondage with Shay (class description below)
• 8:30pm: Play party orientation/Icebreakers
• 9pm - 2am: Main event
• 9:30pm: Performances by Doll Fatale and MxBliss

We will provide some basic refreshments (e.g., water, juices, cheese, granola bars). You are welcome to bring your own aftercare snacks and non-alcoholic beverages.

Tying with Ties: Necktie Bondage

Sexy (or silly!) bondage doesn’t have to involve fancy rope or tricky techniques. Keep it easy and fun by using informal restraints created from neckties! Shay will briefly discuss safety and communication for restraint, then jump into demos and hands-on practice creating bondage with neckties. The basic techniques you’ll learn in this class can be used to create a hog tie, spread eagle, frog tie, box tie position (hands behind back), and more! Throughout the class, Shay will discuss and demonstrate variations like limb to limb bondage vs. tying off to furniture (including tips on using beds), specifics like crab and T-rex ties, execution in context, dynamic (and cooperative) bondage bottoming, and setting and maintaining a mood for your scene (from sexy to silly to sadistic).

The instructors will have some neckties for class use (bring some of your own if you can) – the first 20 tying pairs will get two ties for hands-on practice! You can practice some of the basic techniques on yourself, but the instructors recommend coming with a partner if you’d like to tie in a pair.
