Navigating Jealousy in BDSM
It can be difficult to talk about hard feelings and navigate conversations about them. After this workshop, you’ll be armed with the tools to have those conversations and feel confident in yourself.
The first step is putting a name to your feelings; is it envy or jealousy? Let’s talk about the difference between the two! Getting to the root of your feelings can play a huge role in how you move forward and how to manage insecurities that may pop up. Within this workshop we’ll explore the differences of how jealousy may rear its ugly head in monogamy versus in ethical non-monogamy. Are you looking to improve your communication skills? Or maybe you just want to have a better understanding for yourself. Regardless of what brings you to this class, all are welcome.
Other topics to be discussed will include:
- Exercises to help you feel closer to your partner
- Ways to self soothe and manage your feelings on your own
- Reframing thoughts surrounding the word "jealousy”
- What to do with the concept of "fear of missing out"
- Helping history not repeat itself
- How jealousy is weaponized and ways to avoid that
