Connecting With Partners While Chronically Ill

18+ ONLY!

If you live with a chronic illness, maintaining intimate connections can be difficult. Join this workshop to learn ways to alleviate the stress of being intimate.

Description

If you live with a chronic illness, maintaining intimate connections can be difficult. Because there are a lot of symptoms that are invisible, those suffering often have their experiences minimized or erased completely by society. This workshop is here for you to feel seen and heard. Through conversations and demos, Miss Mackenzee, who lives with chronic illness herself, aims to provide information that will help you to better connect with your partners, no matter the dynamic you have. Fatigue can be an extremely difficult obstacle to overcome when trying to play or be sexual with others. In this class, you will gain extra knowledge on how to work around that so you are able to be present with partners of any kind. Sometimes physical activity can be limited due to any number of reasons but people tend to forget that there is more to play with than just the body. Your options are nearly limitless when it comes to exploring the mind in intimacy or kink. Some other topics that will be covered are:

  • Creating intentional space to practice kink or other forms of intimacy
  • Self care because you can’t pour from an empty cup
  • The spoon theory
  • Resources to help you beyond this class
  • Tips and tricks to give you more energy

Partners, friends, and loved ones are welcome to attend this class as there will also be conversations on how to best support those in our lives that live with chronic illness. This class is open to all gender identities, sexual preferences, relationship dynamics, and skill levels.

Class will be recorded. Purchasing a ticket gives you access to class for up to a week afterwards.
