The Kinkster's Logbook: A resource for effective pick-up play negotiation

Whether you're brand new to kinky play or have been around the dungeon a time or two, discussing scenes with new or existing partners can be intimidating. But it doesn't have to be stressful! I firmly believe that effective negotiation is the key to a good, fulfilling scene and it starts the moment you consider asking someone to play.

This workshop will focus on creating and using a kinky logbook as a personal negotiation and kink resource. The purpose of this document is to structure critical topics and information curation BEFORE you start negotiating with someone. Taking the pressure off of yourself during the negotiating process often makes for a more relaxed, fun and effective experience.

Your logbook will maintain the following information:

• Personal details your play partners need to know (ie health, emotional responses, aftercare needs).
• Notes taken before and after each scene.
• Emergency information should you need medical attention.
• And more!

Considerations BEFORE and DURING class:
This class will take place September 3rd, 2022 at 1pm Eastern Time (US and Canada) with about 70 minutes dedicated to lecture, questions, and interactive components and 20 minutes for discussion and more involved questions at the end.

This class will be using Mentimeter to ask interactive questions. If you would like to participate, please have a device available during class where you can open a browser window and navigate to the Mentimeter website to answer poll questions. This is NOT required, but I'd love everyone's feedback during class :)

About the Presenter:

My name is mollie and I'm a masochist, bottom, Dr. of Genetics, and long time member of the kink community. I've been actively negotiating play, going to negotiation classes, and helping new friends navigate negotiation since 2009. I am very passionate about effective and thorough communication in kink (particularly BEFORE any kinky interaction occurs), and strongly believe that communication is a skill that can be honed and assisted by building resources. Toys aren't the only useful things to put in your toy bag!

I'm really excited to structure these accumulated experiences and thoughts into an interactive class for your benefit and for mine!
