Recess - It's Playtime!

Get ready for Recess, the kink party created by and for the SF Kink Community. We’re bringing back the academia-themed fun, but this time, we’re taking over Stopgap for a night that’s anything but academic.

We’ll have tasters led by skilled house tops so whether you’re looking to try something new or just connect with others, Recess is the perfect spot. Bring your creativity, your energy, bring your energy — we want it here because it’s collectively all of us who make this community what it is.

Recess is more than just a party—it’s a space to explore, play, and connect. Stopgap is set up with areas for play, cuddling, socializing, and for just enjoying the vibe. Whether you’re exploring a new kink or deepening a connection, the night is yours to enjoy.

So grab your school uniform (or put your own spin on it), bring your favorite toys, and get ready to make this Recess a night to remember. The only rule? Have fun and respect one another.

Venue

Stopgap is the newest and oldest kink venue in San Francisco! While a new kink venue in its current iteration, the building itself has a rich history in the kink community as one of the prior locations of the SF Citadel. The first floor is fully accessible, with social and play spaces - including hardpoints. Descend into the 3100 square foot basement to play on equipment that many in the community may have enjoyed in years gone by plus some newer pieces from our collection. There will be crosses, benches, tables, bondage chairs, cages, and much more! Much of the equipment was recovered from the Citadel's lost storage unit early in 2024 with additional pieces from AfterDark and Paradox.

Stopgap has social areas, a cuddle room, a sensual room, and all kinds of BDSM equipment. We provide safety and hygiene supplies, clean sheets, and more. Stopgap elevates kink experiences for guests and offers turnkey solutions to organizers, content-producers, and others.

Hosts

Your hosts for the night will be Diablo and Frey. They'll be supported by volunteers from the community. We'll all be working for a community event for Stopgap. All revenue after expenses from this event will go to support the space.

Covid Safety

• All guests MUST take a rapid test the day of the event and write the date on the test or immediately next to the test
• Take a photo of the negative test & show it to the door guard when you arrive.
• We will have a limited number of tests for sale at $25 each in case anyone is unable to pretest.

Entry

Presale tickets are available on a sliding scale and highly recommended to save your spot. Door Tickets will only be available if the event doesn't sell out online.

• Most people should pay $40.
• If $40 presents a financial barrier, pay $30
• If you can afford to help support the space at a higher level, please consider paying a higher amount.

Door tickets start at $50.

Dress Code:

Fetishwear, kinky/sexy costumes, dungeon blacks, lingerie etc. No street clothes. If in doubt, dress like you would for a good nightclub.
