"All Relationships are Transactional"
Aren't transactional relationships bad? Tit-for-tat and "Scratch my back I'll scratch yours" relationships are seen as less valid. And does it lean into notions of, "How do I trade for what I want?" And are we using the people we are in relationship with?
What if we are in relationship strictly to get what we want? Would we really be doing it for another reason? As we relate to others in roles of service, how do we find equity and balance?
Let's discuss! How do we navigate these dynamics with care and compassion, while acknowledging our commitment to be giving ourselves what we want and need.
Through this discussion, we might find more spaciousness to embrace the transactional aspects of relating, to normalize the way we exchange energy.
If you feel drawn to participating, feel free to be as active or passive as you desire. We want to provide snuggle spaces, lounging spaces, stretching spaces and chairs to accomadate body care and ease.
Arrive at 7 to get comfortable and acclimated. Our discussion will begin at 7:15.
We are here to support and affirm, even as we engage on challenging topics.
Often we participate in community as a mirror to the work we are doing in relationships. So come, connect, and let's learn together.
