The Den of Roses is proud to host Adult-Only First Aid/CPR/AED plus Bloodborne Pathogens Certification for Kinky People by Esoteric_Puppy

Whether you need this certification for your profession, or are wanting to learn life-saving first aid knowledge as a Good Samaritan, this class will provide crucial skills and information to help out in an emergency situation, including those that might occur in the kink and leather scenes.

Added bonuses to this class include:

• How to provide care when the leather or metal garments can not be cut off with safety shears?
• How about all of those permanent piercings?
• What if someone is wearing a pup hood?
• What if an emergency happens at a large festival such as Folsom Street Fair?
• These and many more questions that you might not feel comfortable asking just any regular First Aid instructor, will be answered in this class.

The American Red Cross, Adult First Aid/CPR/AED plus Bloodborne Pathogens class incorporates the latest science and teaches students to recognize and care for a variety of first aid emergencies such as burns, cuts, severe bleeding, sudden illnesses, heat and cold emergencies, how bloodborne pathogens are spread, how to avoid exposure and what to do if exposed to infectious material, and how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies for people about 12 years and older.

Successful students will receive a certificate for Bloodborne Pathogens Training valid for one year AND a certificate for Adult First Aid/CPR/AED valid for two years** through the American Red Cross.

About The Presenter: Puppy Dog has been certified in First Aid/CPR/AED for over a decade, and has been a certified American Red Cross Instructor for the past 7 years, during which time, he has taught First Aid and CPR classes professionally. Puppy Dog, known as Esoteric_Puppy on Fetlife, has also previously been a Dungeon Monitor for a few spaces and organizations. He enthusiastically believes in the early-prevention and lifesaving information this course provides and is excited to be able to bring this class to the local kink community.

The Den will provide an air conditioned private residence for people to feel at home, eat together, and receive hands-on education in a clean and comfortable environment.

This is a family-community style event. Please bring a dish to share. We do have a smoking area in the Garden. Non-alcoholic beverages will be provided by the Den.

Seats are limited so please purchase your ticket to guarantee a spot. This is not a for-profit event. All funds will provide for the costs of the instructor and is an event that is meant to serve the community by contributing to making safer environments.
