Focusing on principles and concepts rather than recipes and formulas, this class will discuss the reasoning behind different transition choices and build your ability to create unique sequences. The instructors will bring the class along to collaboratively generate a demonstration transition sequence, discussing the “decision points” and pros and cons of different selections. Participants will then pick their paths to create partial and full suspension sequences.
Supplies: A basic suspension kit: https://www.twistedwindows.com/articles/contents-of-a-basic-rope-suspension-kit
Pre-requisites: This class is intended for folks working through transitions in suspension and is self- or partnered-suspension friendly.
Shay Tiziano (she/her or they/them) brings innovative performances and a friendly, approachable, risk-aware take on kink education. Their teaching style is playfully nerdy, packed with evidence-based tidbits balanced with humor and not taking themselves (too) seriously. They're known for Western-style, dynamic bondage and a somewhat unhinged commitment to starting shows precisely on time.
Angel (he/him or they/them) is a self-suspender and rope switch who brings an extensive background in sailing, physics, and general creative shenanigans to his bondage practices. He finds immense joy in the meticulous process of choreography and rehearsal, exhibiting a fervent enthusiasm for revisiting specific bottoming sequences repeatedly and practicing to a level that most folks would find somewhat unhinged. He is a durable human who loves to experiment, push boundaries, and redefine what Western-style rope can be.
