Hypnokink 101 Intensive

Hypnokink 101: Interested in erotic or kinky hypnosis, but not sure how or where to start? This intensive will provide lecture, discussion and lots of demos, enabling participants to go home and try it out for themselves safely and effectively! Topics covered include: the process of hypnosis, safety and ethics, negotiation, and creative scene building.
This intensive will include practice in partnered exercises, so please either come with someone you are comfortable working with, or be prepared to pair up in class.

This class might be for you if you:

• are curious about hypnosis and how it works!
• think hypnosis looks like magic and want to know why
• find hypnosis erotic
• find the idea of tying, beating, fucking, etc without being in the same place alluring
• like the idea of making impossible-seeming fantasies feel real
• want to hypnotize people/be hypnotized by others
• want to enter the hypnokink community with a solid foundation
• are afraid that it’s not possible to play with hypnosis safely and ethically (spoiler alert: it is!)
• are wondering if you can be hypnotized/learn to hypnotize someone (spoiler alert: you can!)

HypnoStory (they/them) loves to share the joy and power of hypnosis with most anyone who will listen. They have been doing various forms of hypnosis for over 25 years, and have taught for Charmed!, Beguiled, NEEHU, KinkyCon, and The Fetish Fair Fleamarket among others. In addition to erotic and recreational hypnosis, they occasionally perform as a stage hypnotist and work with clients using hypnosis for personal growth. Together with their oblate Panda, they run CONsolation (a Discord server that presents kink education) and Pandastory, their kink education business.

PandaPet (it/they) is a pansexual, polyamorous pet with a penchant for the use of alliteration. It has been a longstanding member of the New England and DC/NoVa communities, and has taught for a fair number of hypnosis and kink conferences. A tireless volunteer, it has also worked behind the scenes on educational programming at a handful of kink conventions for the past twelve (12) years. It co-founded the kink education server CONsolation and kink education business Pandastory with it's Master HypnoStory, and is branching out into kink/sex work and one-on-one coaching. Unashamedly itself in all things, it is an advocate for the darklings, pets, ageplayers, neurodivergent, and queerdos of our community.

We are implementing a maximum capacity of 20 attendees due to limited space, so if you want to come, you should quickly reserve your tickets online! Also, if you want to avoid Forbidden Tickets's fees, you can select the registration-only ticket and pay an alternate way. We accept cash, checks, credit/debit cards, PayPal (@BoxTieStudio), Venmo (@boxtiestudio), and Cashapp ($ropespaced). If you pay one of these ways ahead of time (not at the door), please indicate which order it's for (the email address on your order works). If the ticket cost is a little out of your budget, contact us and we can work something out!

Some notes for the group:

1. Please review our group rules. Attending the workshop constitutes your agreement to follow the rules. If you aren't willing to do that, please don't attend. You can also print our Liability Waiver and Code of Conduct Agreement from the same page to speed up the check-in process. If you don't print them ahead of time, we'll have you sign them at the door.
2. Bring a blanket or yoga mat to sit on, if desired. We will be providing some snacks, water, and beverages, and will be taking an hour-long dinner break about halfway through the workshop. We will be ordering food delivery for an additional price during that time. You're also welcome to bring your own meal and store it in our fridge or go out to get your own food; there are several restaurants and fast food places very close by.
3. Vanilla-ish to the door. Inside, genitals/anuses must be covered.
4. You can come alone or with a partner, but we won't match up single attendees for you. You can pair yourselves up if desired during the hands-on exercises.
5. All attendees are required to be vaccinated against COVID, and WE WILL CHECK YOUR ID AND PROOF OF VACCINATION AT THE DOOR. If you can't be vaccinated for legitimate reasons, please reach out to us beforehand. If you'd like, you can send pictures of your ID and vax information to Cait at cait@boxtiestudio.org.
6. Please don't attend if you're feeling ill or exhibiting any symptoms of COVID-19 (review symptoms here). We don't care what the CDC is now saying regarding isolation: if you test positive for COVID within 5 days of this event, have a known exposure, or are feeling ill, please do not attend.
7. You can start arriving at 10:30. Please arrive early to get through the check-in process and get set up so that we can start promptly at 11:00. If you know you're going to be late, text Cait at (207) 558-2930. If you arrive and the door is locked, please ring the doorbell.
8. There is plenty of parking. When you turn onto Ingersoll Drive, the parking lot is the first left, and we are the first building on the left. We are the second-floor end unit; you'll see large windows and skylights from outside. Please text Cait at (207) 558-2930 if you have trouble finding us.
9. No smoking indoors.
10. No guns or weapons allowed on the premises.
11. Use of drugs and/or alcohol is not allowed. If you are suspected to be under the influence, you will be ejected from the event without a refund.
