January '26 Play Party

Description:

• We will have fun-filled evening to socialize and play! Scenes and non-rope play are allowed. Sex is not permitted at our studio; please see our group rules for more information.
• If you want to bring food/snacks to share, you're welcome to and we super appreciate it!
• We will not be teaching any skills at this event. If you’d like to attend but don’t know how to tie, you are welcome to watch or engage in another type of play.

Suspending at Box Tie Studio:

• To suspend at our studio (including partials), you must be vetted by a Box Tie leader. If you want to be vetted, please reach out to us ahead of time.

Group Rules:

• Please review our group rules. If a leader sees you are in violation, you may be asked to leave without refund.
• You can now submit your Liability Waiver and age/identity verification online! Please do this ahead of time to expedite check-in. If you don't want to submit personal information and/or your ID online, we can also do this in person.
• Please don't attend if you're feeling ill or exhibiting any symptoms of COVID-19. If you can't attend due to illness, we'll refund your tickets fully. If you have tested positive for COVID within 5 days of this class, have had a known exposure, or are feeling ill, please do not come.

Buying Tickets & Event Capacity:

• To keep up with our event and space costs, we have decided to raise our prices by $5 per person (sliding-scale still in place for $25-$45). We appreciate all the support from our community!
• Maximum capacity of 35 attendees, so get your tickets to ensure your spot!
• If you want to avoid Forbidden Tickets' fees, you can select the registration-only ticket and pay an alternate way. We accept cash, checks, credit/debit cards, PayPal (@BoxTieStudio), Venmo (@boxtiestudio), and Cashapp ($ropespaced). If you pay one of these ways ahead of time (not at the door), please indicate which order it's for (the email address on your order works).
• Our pricing is on a sliding scale to fight against economic inequality, broaden access to education & events, and build an inclusive community. Please pay according to your available resources. If the ticket cost is out of your budget even at the lowest tier, please reach out to us and we can work something out! We do provide scholarships to those in need.

What To Bring & Wear:

• Bring a blanket or yoga mat to sit or tie on if you'd like, water, rope, and safety shears.
• We will have loaner rope available to borrow and raw jute (natural or red) for sale if you don't own any.
  • We also have Box Tie merch for sale! T-shirts, tank tops, drawstring bags, small zippered canvas pouches, and stickers.
• Vanilla to the door; once inside, genitals and anuses must be covered (thong minimum, free the titties!). People often wear workout clothes.
• You can come alone or with a partner, but we won't match up single attendees for you. You can pair yourselves up if desired.

Parking & Arrival Time:

• There is plenty of free parking. When you turn onto Ingersoll Drive, the parking lot is the first left, and we are the first building on the left. We are the second-floor end unit; you'll see tall windows and skylights from outside. Please text Cait at (207) 558-2930 if you have trouble finding us.
• Doors will open at 6:15pm and close at 6:45pm. Please try to arrive early!!! All attendees need to be present for our opening introductions and play will start promptly at 7:00.
• If you will be late, please reach out to the Cait at (207) 558-2930 (text only)! If you arrive late and you haven't reached out ahead of time, you will be denied entry.

Miscellaneous:

• No guns or other weapons are allowed on the premises.
• There is no smoking indoors. Please step outside to smoke.
• Use of drugs and/or alcohol is not allowed. If you are suspected to be under the influence, you will be ejected from the event without a refund.
• We have a dog and there will likely be dog fur throughout the studio, although we do our best to keep it as clean as possible. If you're allergic, please take note.
• There are 3 short stairs to get into the building and a carpeted staircase inside to get upstairs to the studio. Unfortunately, there is no elevator access.
