Sharps, Needles, & Sutures, Oh My!

Ready to take your skills to the next level? Join us for an immersive workshop designed to bring your sharps play to the next level. While this workshop is geared towards those with some sharps experience, this class offers a unique opportunity for those at all levels to learn in a supportive and practical setting.

This event is divided into two parts: a focused class block followed by an open practice session.

Workshop Itinerary (1:00 PM - 4:00 PM)

• 1:00 PM - 1:45 PM | Intro to Sharps, Needle Play & Suturing 101: We'll begin with a refresher on sharps safety and handling, then dive into the basics of needle play and suturing.
• 1:45 PM - 2:30 PM | Suture & Needle Demonstration: Watch as we demonstrate different techniques for needles and sutures.
• 2:30 PM - 4:00 PM | Hands-On Practice: This is your chance to practice what you've learned. Our instructors, MKB and TKB, will be available for one-on-one guidance and supervision.

What to Bring
Please bring your own needle and suture kit (if you have it), along with a partner if you want to practice with someone you know. Partners are not required but we won't be matching participants for practice or play. We will have some extra supplies and a starter kit you can take home with you. Come ready with your questions and enthusiasm!

Presenter Bios
-MKB- (he/him) & -TKB- (she/her) (a.k.a. "The Bears") are a passionate, playful, prickly, polyamorous pair who have been active in the scene for the past 10+ years. You might call them your friendly neighborhood sadomasochists! While their favorite kink is learning about all of the things, they have a special place for sharps play as it allows them to combine his creative flair and her analytical style. When not indulging in play they can be found spending time with their better third, MrsKinkyBear.

🪡 Please review our group rules. You can also print and sign our Liability Waiver and Code of Conduct Agreement from the same page on our website. If you have signed these previously, you don't need to sign them again.
🪡 Please don't attend if you're feeling ill! If you can't attend due to illness, we'll refund your tickets.

Buying Tickets:
🩸 Maximum capacity of 20 attendees, so get your tickets online to ensure your spot!
🩸 We accept cash, checks, cards, PayPal (@BoxTieStudio), Venmo (@boxtiestudio), and Cashapp ($ropespaced). If you pay one of these ways ahead of time (not at the door), please indicate which order it's for (the email address on your order works).
🩸 Our pricing is on a sliding scale. Please pay according to your available resources. If the ticket cost is a little out of your budget even at the lowest tier, please reach out to us and we can work something out.

What/Who To Bring:
💉 Bring a blanket or yoga mat to sit on, if desired.
💉 Your own needle and/or suture kit, if you have them.
💉 You can come alone or with a partner, but we won't match up single attendees. You can pair yourselves up if you want.
💉 Water/snacks/First Aid/self-care items.

Parking & Arrival Time:
🩸 Doors open at 12:30. We will be closing the doors at 1:00 so we can start ASAP. If you know you're going to be late, or the door is locked when you arrive, please text Cait at (207) 558-2930.
🩸 When you turn onto Ingersoll Drive, the parking lot is the first left, and we are the first building on the left. We are the second-floor end unit; you'll see tall windows and skylights from outside. Please text Cait at (207) 558-2930 if you have trouble finding us.

Miscellaneous:
🗡️ No guns or other weapons are allowed on the premises.
🗡️ There is no smoking indoors. Please step outside to smoke.
🗡️ Use of drugs and/or alcohol is not allowed. If you are suspected to be under the influence, you will be ejected from the event without a refund.
🗡️ There are 3 short stairs to get into the building and a carpeted staircase inside to get upstairs to the studio.
