Mermaids Lure... Pirates Command. Join us for a party full of riptides and temptation.

If you plan on attending the SaraScalper Impact Intensive earlier this same day, please register for that BEFORE registering for this event!
This will not be a workshop or class! Instead, we will have fun-filled evening to socialize and play! Scenes and non-rope play are allowed. Sex is not permitted at our studio. If you want to bring snacks to share, you're welcome to, but please don't bring anything with peanuts.
We will not be teaching any skills at this event. If you’d like to attend but don’t know how to tie, you are welcome to watch or engage in another type of play.
Suspending at Box Tie Studio:
To suspend at our studio you must be vetted by a Box Tie leader (including partials). If you want to be vetted, please reach out to us ahead of time: email us at contact@boxtiestudio.org, message us on Fetlife, or message us on Instagram.
Group Rules:
- Please review our group rules. If a leader sees you are in violation, you may be asked to leave without refund. You are required to sign our Liability Waiver and Code of Conduct Agreement your first time attending.
- Please don't attend if you're feeling ill or exhibiting any symptoms of COVID-19 (review symptoms here). If you can't attend due to illness, we'll refund your tickets.
Buying Tickets & Event Capacity:
- Maximum capacity of 30 attendees, get your tickets online to ensure your spot!
- To avoid Forbidden Tickets's fees, select the registration-only ticket and pay an alternate way. We accept cash, checks, credit/debit cards, PayPal (@BoxTieStudio), Venmo (@boxtiestudio), and Cashapp ($ropespaced). If you pay one of these ways ahead of time (not at the door), please indicate which order it's for (the email address on your order works). If the ticket cost is out of your budget please reach out to us directly.
- "Our pricing is on a sliding scale, a system developed to fight against economic injustice and widen access to education and other events to build community. Please pay according to your available resources" (wording borrowed from the Boston Rope Collective, with permission).
- Promo code: If you're attending the SaraScalper Intensive earlier the same day, you should have gotten a promo code in your email receipt when you registered for 20% off your tickets to this play party! This code applies no matter which payment method you choose to use. If you have any questions or can't find the code, please reach out to us!
What To Bring & Wear:
🧜♀️Bring a blanket or yoga mat to sit or play on.
🧜♀️Water, toys, rope, and safety shears.
🧜♀️We have loaner rope available to borrow! You can also purchase synthetic and natural if you don't own any.
🧜♀️Vanilla to the door; once inside, genitals and anuses must be covered (thong minimum, free the titties!) Mermaid and/or pirate-themed attire is encouraged but not required, and fetish-wear is welcome!
🧜♀️You can come alone or with a partner, but we won't match up single attendees for you. You can pair yourselves up if desired.
Parking & Arrival Time:
- Doors open at 6:30pm. Please try to arrive early! Do not start tying or playing before the welcome intro.
- When you turn onto Ingersoll Drive, the parking lot and building is the first left. We are the second-floor end unit; you'll see tall windows and skylights from outside.

Miscellaneous:
🏴☠️No guns or other weapons are allowed on the premises.
🏴☠️ No smoking of anything indoors. Please step outside to smoke.
🏴☠️Use of drugs and/or alcohol is not allowed. If you are suspected to be under the influence, you will be ejected from the event without a refund.
🏴☠️There may be dog fur throughout the studio, although we do our best to keep it as clean as possible. If you're allergic, please take note.
🏴☠️There are 3 short stairs to get into the building and a carpeted staircase inside to get upstairs to the studio. Unfortunately, there is no elevator access.
