Hypnokink Inductions Intensive

We often say one of the best things you can do to improve your hypnosis skills on either side of the pocket watch is to go DO THE THING! Join HypnoStory and panda for a double dose of learning and practice! Class will include an introduction of their framework of the qualities of hypnotic inductions, how to use those qualities to create customized inductions, an analysis of some more commonly used inductions, demos, and LOTS of practice.

• There will be 6 hours of class content and practice, 1 hour for lunch, and small breaks interspersed throughout the day with an optional buy-in group lunch.
• This class will have paired practice throughout the day. We strongly recommend that you attend with a practice partner.
• This class will not cover the basics of a hypnokink 101. Please have a solid understanding of consent, negotiation, and have taken or studied some form of hypnokink basics. One method of learning is available through HypnoStory and panda's website.

HypnoStory (they/them) loves to share the joy and power of hypnosis with most anyone who will listen. They have been doing various forms of hypnosis for over 25 years, and have taught for Charmed!, Beguiled, NEEHU, KinkyCon, and The Fetish Fair Fleamarket among others. In addition to erotic and recreational hypnosis, they occasionally perform as a stage hypnotist and work with clients using hypnosis for personal growth. Together with their oblate Panda, they run CONsolation (a Discord server that presents kink education) and Pandastory, their kink education business.

PandaPet (it/they) is a pansexual, polyamorous pet with a penchant for the use of alliteration. It has been a longstanding member of the New England and DC/NoVa communities, and has taught for a fair number of hypnosis and kink conferences. A tireless volunteer, it has also worked behind the scenes on educational programming at a handful of kink conventions for the past twelve (12) years. It co-founded the kink education server CONsolation and kink education business Pandastory with its Master HypnoStory, and is branching out into kink/sex work and one-on-one coaching. Unashamedly itself in all things, it is an advocate for the darklings, pets, ageplayers, neurodivergent, and queerdos of our community.

We are implementing a maximum capacity of 20 attendees due to limited space, so if you want to come, you should quickly reserve your tickets online! Also, if you want to avoid Forbidden Tickets's fees, you can select the registration-only ticket and pay an alternate way. We accept cash, checks, credit/debit cards, PayPal (@BoxTieStudio), Venmo (@boxtiestudio), and Cashapp ($ropespaced). If you pay one of these ways ahead of time (not at the door), please indicate which order it's for (the email address on your order works).

Some notes for the group:

1. Please review our group rules. Attending the workshop constitutes your agreement to follow the rules. If you aren't willing to do that, please don't attend. You can also print our Liability Waiver and Code of Conduct Agreement from the same page to speed up the check-in process. If you don't print them ahead of time, we'll have you sign them at the door.
2. Seating will mostly be on the floor; there are limited chairs. Bring a blanket, yoga mat, or folding chair to sit on, if desired. If you'd like us to reserve a chair for you, please let us know ahead of time.
3. We will be providing some snacks, water, and beverages, and will be taking an hour-long dinner break about halfway through the workshop. We will be ordering food delivery for an additional price during that time. You're also welcome to bring your own meal and store it in our fridge or go out to get your own food; there are several restaurants and fast food places very close by.
4. Vanilla-ish to the door. Inside, genitals/anuses must be covered.
5. You can come alone or with a partner, but we won't match up single attendees for you. You can pair yourselves up if desired during the hands-on exercises.
6. All attendees are required to be vaccinated against COVID, and WE WILL CHECK YOUR ID AND PROOF OF VACCINATION AT THE DOOR. If you can't be vaccinated for legitimate reasons, please reach out to us beforehand. If you'd like, you can send pictures of your ID and vax information to Cait at cait@boxtiestudio.org.
7. Please don't attend if you're feeling ill or exhibiting any symptoms of COVID-19 (review symptoms here). We don't care what the CDC is now saying regarding isolation: if you test positive for COVID within 5 days of this event, have a known exposure, or are feeling ill, please do not attend.
8. Doors will open at 10:30. Please arrive early to get through the check-in process and get set up so that we can start promptly at 11:00. If you know you're going to be late, text Cait at (207) 558-2930. If you arrive and the door is locked, please ring the doorbell.
9. There is plenty of parking. When you turn onto Ingersoll Drive, the parking lot is the first left, and we are the first building on the left. We are the second-floor end unit; you'll see large windows and skylights from outside. Please text Cait at (207) 558-2930 if you have trouble finding us.
10. No smoking indoors.
11. No guns or weapons allowed on the premises.
12. Use of drugs and/or alcohol is not allowed. If you are suspected to be under the influence, you will be ejected from the event without a refund.
13. "Our pricing is on a sliding scale, a system developed to fight against economic injustice and widen access to education and other events to build community. Please pay according to your available resources" (wording borrowed/slightly changed from the Boston Rope Collective, with their permission). HypnoStory, panda, Cait, and Griffin believe in providing accessible education to everyone and don't believe in turning anyone away for a lack of money; that being said, we are able to provide scholarships to some individuals in need of financial assistance.
