KRAVE PDX (and New to Kink Workshop)

What to Expect:

• Dance : Dance in a beautiful Portland ballroom until 2 AM to DJs who will keep the energy high and the dance floor pulsing. DJs curated by the one and only Mienne!
• Erotic Entertainment : Feast your eyes on performances that will titillate and inspire. Circus, burlesque, and performance art with a kinky-queer bent.
• Consent-forward Play Space for Couples/Moresomes : Want a place to have a flogging scene, or need a hard point for bondage? We got you! This play space will be monitored by trained dungeon monitors and access limited to couples/moresomes. We center enthusiastic consent and have rules to keep play on the lighter side (i.e. no blood, neck rope, and certain kinds of play).

Schedule:

• 6:45: Doors open for the workshop
• 7-8:30: Class/workshop on 'Curious About Kink? Newbies Guide to BDSM'
• 8:45pm: Doors open for the main event
• 9-9:10: Welcome and consent chat
• 9:10-2am: DJ sets by Funkhouser, Loopacabra, Chixy Guap, and Mienne!
• Ambient kinky entertainment upstairs with an erotic spotlight set at 11pm.

What you need to know:

• Dress Code: Wear what makes you feel sexy and fun! Got sparkles? Yeah! Other examples: festival/Burn, fetish, goth, or costume/cosplay. Just please make an effort. Nudity welcome upstairs only.
• We endeavor to create a consent-forward space where all kind, considerate folks are welcome.
• No phones or filming devices are permitted on the upper floor (where nudity, sex, and kink are possible).
• 21+ only and attendees will need to sign a waiver of liability.
• Tickets are nonrefundable but fully transferable to other 21+ friends.

Class/Workshop Description: Curious About Kink? Newbies Guide to BDSM

This is a class for folks who are newer to BDSM (or the kink scene/lifestyle). Mx Bliss will share their ‘new to kink’ mistakes in the hopes that you can avoid them! In this class, MxBliss provides a quick intro to the wonderful world of BDSM. We will start with vocabulary and etiquette (including play party norms). Then we will cover ways to find play partners more safely including vetting and spotting red flags. Finally, we will cover MxBliss’s favorite topic: consent and negotiation in BDSM. This is a whirlwind tour so while not specifically covered on the agenda, they are reserving time to address your questions about Fetetiquette (Fetlife etiquette), finding a mentor/mentee, pick up play, what to do if you are involved in a consent incident, or anything else you’d like to know about the curious, delightful, and potentially dangerous world of BDSM.

You ticket price includes admission to K-Rave (Portland's kink- and sex- friendly rave), following the class. But don't just shake your ass to some of the best festival DJs in Portland! Do a scene in the couples and moresomes monitored playspace or watch an amazing shibari/rope bondage performances on the kink-friendly stage (at 10 and 11:30).
