Karma - An Open Play Party For TNG & Partners

An Event for the Next Generation of Kinksters (and Their Partners)

Description

Join us at Stopgap on Friday to celebrate Karma - our new TNG and partners party! We’re creating a space for the next generation of kinksters (and their partners) to enjoy a night of kink. Created as an event to give back to TNG community members, Karma promises to be an evening of interesting connections, great conversations and exciting play. This Friday’s event will be Stopgap’s first Karma party so come and celebrate it with us!

Karma will Feature

  • Curated environment for TNG community members and their partners.
  • Large, clean, fully-equipped and vibing dungeon with curated playlists to set the mood.
  • Dedicated social and play areas.
  • Historic venue featuring historic BDSM equipment from yesteryear.
  • Multiple pieces of accessible BDSM equipment.
  • Fuck room for when you want to, well, fuck.
  • Cozy cuddle room for aftercare, pre-care, and non-sexual intimate touch.
  • Light snacks and beverages.

Why a TNG-only party?

TNG kinksters face a number of challenges in our community. For example:

  • The activities enjoyed by TNGers are often not shared in the same ways by older community members.
  • It can be culturally harder to relate to non-TNG community members
  • Expectations and understanding around consent can sometimes vary between generations.

The Venue

This event will be held at Stopgap in San Francisco! While a new venue in its current iteration, the building itself has a rich history in the kink community. The first floor is fully accessible, with social and play spaces - including over two dozen hardpoints. Descend into the 3100 square foot basement to play equipment that generations past have enjoyed in days gone by, plus a selection of newer pieces from our collection. There will be crosses, benches, tables, bondage chairs, cages, and much more! Much of the equipment came from the original Citadel BDSM club and have interesting histories of their own. One piece in particular has been in one public dungeon or another since the early 1970’s.

The People

Karma is a TNG celebration of kink in its many forms - an event where kinksters of different races, ethnicities, genders, sexualities, and abilities can come together to share space and honor their experiences. Our gathering is an inclusive one that welcomes everybody. While it doesn't dominate the narrative, the ethos of inclusivity is woven into the very fabric of the event, ensuring that each guest feels valued and celebrated.. We expect all guests to honor the diversity of our communities. We will not tolerate behavior or language to the contrary at Karma.

Karma is an age-restricted event. All attendees must be between the ages of 18 and 39. If you’ve reached the age of 40 or older, congratulations! However, this is not the party for you (but we look forward to seeing you at our other events). Partners older than 39 are allowed when accompanying a guest within the 18 to 39 age range. Cruising is not allowed at this event and individuals may be asked to leave if found to be in violation of the no cruising rule.

Connect

We'll have role stickers at the party to help identify and spark connections. In addition - we will be using our wristband system to help people appropriately initiate social interactions. People who are comfortable being respectfully approached about the possibility of play will be wearing yellow wristbands. If you see someone wearing a red wristband, that indicates that they prefer to not be approached about play, but may be open to conversations on other topics. Let them bring up play, don’t bring it up to them.

If you want to meet and chat with others who are coming to this party ahead of time then check out Karma! on the Plura Community app.

Play

Enjoy the kink furniture - Stopgap is a fully equipped BDSM club with numerous pieces of equipment to play on. There will be accessible spaces for play. We have also created a quieter non-sexual cuddle area for ace folks, for aftercare, and for those looking to take a break from the higher energy of the play areas.

Dress Code

Kinky or sexy outfits, lingerie, fetishwear, general kink/BDSM outfits are encouraged in order to help maintain the immersive ambiance of the night, lingerie or general fetishwear are also welcome as are dungeon blacks. We encourage you to dress up - make an effort to impress but if nothing else comes to mind then dress as you would for a fancy night out.

Please be mindful that you might have to wait in line outside and that you are welcome to arrive in regular clothes and then change into your kinky outfit once you get inside! There are complementary lockers and unmonitored bag racks for use on a first-come-first-serve basis.
